"FY2026 Contemporary Sword Craftsmen Exhibition" at the Japanese Sword Museum from August 1

At the Japanese Sword Museum, which conveys the appeal and culture of the Japanese sword, the special exhibition "FY2026 Contemporary Sword Craftsmen Exhibition: Ancient Techniques Passed Down to the Present" will be held. The exhibition runs from Saturday, August 1 to Sunday, August 30, Reiwa 8 (2026). It introduces the age-old techniques inherited by today's sword craftsmen. According to the calendar on the official website, the museum will be closed on Mondays during the exhibition period: the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. In addition to the exhibitions, the museum holds a "Japanese Sword Appreciation Etiquette Course" on the second Saturday of every month, and advance application is required to take part.
