A One-Day Hands-On Event at the Sumida Hokusai Museum Where Your Own Drawing Becomes Merchandise

At the Sumida Hokusai Museum (2-7-2 Kamezawa, Sumida City), "Become Hokusai and Let's Make Fun Goods!" will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00. The venue is the lecture room MARUGEN 100. It's a hands-on event where you draw a Hokusai-style picture or an original character, and it is turned into merchandise right there on the spot. Using drawing manuals such as "Hokusai Manga" as a reference, you can also try drawing "just as Master Hokusai says." Participation fees are 500 yen for one can badge (1,000 yen for three), 500 yen each for a magnet, eco bag, small furoshiki wrapping cloth, and key chain, and 1,000 yen for a kanzashi hair ornament. No reservation is needed—you can join as soon as a seat opens up, and the event ends once the materials run out. Since scissors and an iron are used, small children should come along with a guardian. It is a registered Harokaru Holiday Sumida event, and payment with Harokaru points is also possible. It is organized by Zoumushi Kurage Rhythm and the museum.
