The main attraction was the 100-yen sale, a favorite every time. Limited to the first 25 people, items priced at 1,000 yen or more could be bought for just 100 yen — a wonderfully generous deal. On top of that, anyone who spent 1,000 yen or more at a participating shop got the chance to draw a lottery ticket right there on the spot. With no losing tickets and lavish prizes up for grabs, it seems to have been a plan that added extra fun to dropping by while out shopping.
