"Hydrangea Festival" to Be Held June 20 & 21 at Senzoku-dori and Hisago-dori Shopping Streets

The Senzoku-dori Shopping Street and the Asakusa Hisago-dori Shopping Street will hold a "Hydrangea Festival" as a local cultural heritage project. The dates are Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, Reiwa 8 (2026), from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The highlight is a prize drawing with prizes totaling 600,000 yen in value. At participating shops on both shopping streets, one lottery ticket will be given out for every 500 yen or more spent, and two tickets allow you to draw once. The venue is the special site next to Denkiya Hall on Senzoku-dori (3-38-5 Asakusa, Taito-ku), and the event will end as soon as the tickets or prizes run out. In addition, potted hydrangeas will be on display in front of the Hisago-dori Shopping Street office and at "Okuasa-chan," the rest spot on Senzoku-dori. You can also enjoy children's games and a digital stamp rally visiting six locations (prizes for the first 200 people each day).
