Ueno-no-Mori Art Museum: Gallery Open Even on Main Building Closure Days — Catalog Mail Orders Also Being Accepted

News about opening status and various announcements has arrived from the Ueno-no-Mori Art Museum (announced August 24, 2026). On that day the Gallery is open, while the 1st and 2nd floors of the Main Building are closed. A calendar of closure days through the end of March of the following year is published on the official website, so checking it before your visit will put your mind at ease. For the open-call exhibition "The 39th Exhibition of Paintings of Japan's Nature," applications for written critiques are being accepted. Also, the official catalog of the "Great Van Gogh Exhibition" is on sale online at Sankei iD, and sales will end as soon as stock runs out. Mail order by telephone is not available. In addition, a new catalog containing works from the collection, including "The 44th Ueno-no-Mori Art Museum Grand Prize Exhibition," has been completed and can be purchased by mail order.
