Setsubun Festival at Kuramae Shrine in Reiwa 7, Bean-Throwing from 3 p.m. on February 2
Kuramae Shrine has released an announcement about the Setsubun Festival for Reiwa 7 (2025). On February 2, the day before Risshun (the first day of spring), the Setsubun Festival and the bean-throwing ceremony will be held from 3 p.m. As it is a time of severe winter cold, please dress warmly when you come to worship and watch your step carefully. Along with this, there is also an announcement about the distribution of the kirie (paper-cut) goshuin seal stamp. This runs until March 31, so it might be nice to stop by while visiting for the Setsubun Festival. Setsubun is an event where you can feel the turning point of the year. Not only local residents, but also those visiting the Asakusa and Kuramae area, why not come and see the bean-throwing for yourself?
