Annual Festival Rite at Fukutoku Inari Shrine, a Sub-shrine of Kuramae Shrine, on February 6

Kuramae Shrine has announced the annual festival rite (reisai-shiki) for Fukutoku Inari Shrine, a sub-shrine within its precincts. It will be held on February 6, timed to coincide with Hatsuuma. Hatsuuma refers to the first Day of the Horse in February, and it is said to be the day on which the great deity Inari descended at Fushimi Inari Taisha. It is considered the most auspicious day of the year for Inari worship, and Inari shrines all over the country bustle with visitors on this day. Kuramae Shrine invites people to drop by casually, such as on the way home from work, to pray for prosperous business and safety for the family. For those working nearby, it may well be a convenient time to pay a visit. In addition, the shrine is distributing paper-cut goshuin (shrine stamps) until March 31, and is also posting updates on the blooming status of its mimosa. Why not take the opportunity to visit?
