Winning Entries Announced for the "Character Bento & Character Sweets Contest" at the 40th Kappabashi Dougu Matsuri

Kappabashi Kitchenware Street has announced the winning entries of the "Character Bento & Character Sweets Contest" held during the 40th Kappabashi Dougu Matsuri (Tool Festival). The entries were displayed in front of the Lifelong Learning Center on October 12 and 13 during the festival, and the winners were decided by tallying the general votes cast by visitors together with the votes of the festival executive committee. The winners will receive cooking tools and other items that make cooking more fun, provided by member shops of Kappabashi Kitchenware Street. The sponsored prizes include an original Damascus petty knife, an octagonal five-sun plate of Arita ware together with an original T-shirt, a copper tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) pan, a santoku knife, pickel (ice axe) chopsticks, a set of cutlery and sake vessels, coffee beans, and other items that could only come from the tool street. Please note that the announcement of the prize winners will be made by the shipping of the prizes themselves. The association has also expressed its thanks to everyone who submitted an entry.
