Kappabashi Kitchenware Street Now Sharing the Opening Status of Its Member Shops

The official website of the Kappabashi Kitchenware Street shopping district is providing information on the opening status of shops belonging to the merchants' association. Business hours at each shop are generally from 10:00 to 17:00, with some exceptions. However, since hours differ from shop to shop, they ask that you check the page of each individual shop for details. For August, the opening status on Sundays, public holidays, and during the Obon period is summarized under "Sunday and Public Holiday Opening Information." The opening status for Sundays and public holidays in September can likewise be checked under "Sunday and Public Holiday Opening Information." In addition, a rough guide to how many of the member shops are open is provided in the calendar on the site. Since closing days vary from shop to shop, it's reassuring to check each shop's page or contact them directly before heading out.
