Grand Shinto Procession Festival at Tobiki Inari Shrine for the First Time in 8 Years, Mikoshi from 11 Neighborhood Associations Gather

At Tobiki Inari Shrine in Oshiage, Sumida Ward, the Grand Shinto Procession Festival (Shinko Taisai), held once every four years, took place from September 11 to 13. On the 13th, mikoshi (portable shrines) from the 11 parish neighborhood associations gathered together for the first time in 8 years, carrying out a joint mikoshi procession (rengo mikoshi togyo). The bearers gathered on Shin-Azuma Street and paraded to the shrine, and the shrine grounds were bustling with many worshippers.
