Ushijima Shrine Autumn Festival to Be Held September 19–20 in Mukojima — Mikoshi Procession and Dedicatory Dance

The autumn festival at Ushijima Shrine in Mukojima, Sumida Ward, will take place mainly on September 19 and 20. Some neighborhood associations will hold preliminary festivities (yoimiya) and dedicatory dances starting from the 18th. On both the 19th and 20th, food stalls will be set up on the shrine grounds from 11:00 to 20:00, and dedicatory performances will also be held at the Kagura Hall. In the shrine's parish neighborhoods, events such as children's mikoshi, floats, neighborhood processions with the large mikoshi, and food booths are also being planned. At 16:00 on the 20th, a joint shrine entry procession by nearby neighborhood associations will take place at Wakamiya in Honjo 2-chome. Additionally, on the 15th, a longevity prayer festival for the elderly and a ceremonial festival featuring dedicatory bugaku dance performances are scheduled. Announced September 13, 2026.
