Organic Matcha Japanese Café "Chakura" Celebrates One Month in Asakusa

An organic matcha specialty Japanese café called "Chakura" opened in Asakusa 2-chome, Taito Ward, and celebrated its one-month anniversary on August 28. The café is operated by Jidaiya, marking a renewed challenge based on the company's experience running a shaved ice shop of the same name before the COVID-19 pandemic. The matcha used is made from organic JAS-certified tea leaves from Kagoshima Prefecture, and the café offers organic matcha, lattes, soft-serve ice cream, shaved ice, and more. The interior features 24 seats with a wood-based design, offering views of the Tokyo Skytree. The café also embodies a wish to create more resting spots for visitors strolling in kimono. Business hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:45 PM. Announced on September 7, 2026.
