Wrapped Train 'Gosai' Featuring Children's Drawings Debuts on Tobu Kameido Line

A wrapped train called "Gosai," decorated with drawings by children from Sumida City, has begun operating mainly on the Tobu Kameido Line. According to an announcement made on August 28, 2026, a departure ceremony was held that day at Hikifune Station, attended by Sumida Mayor Toru Yamamoto and the Sumida Children's PR Ambassadors. The project was planned by Sumida City and Tobu Railway to promote the "Sumida Gosai Art Festival," which opens on September 4. Drawings made by children—including images of Tokyo Skytree—at an event held in late May were arranged into the design by students from Chiba University. The train body displays the message "Sumida's Art Festival, Made by Everyone." In addition to the Kameido Line, the train will also run on the Daishi Line and the northern section of the Isesaki Line, with operations continuing until December 20.
