"Chikyu no Arukikata: Sumida Ward" Released, Featuring an Interview with Shunsuke Kazama

The guidebook "Chikyu no Arukikata: Sumida Ward," which introduces the history, culture, tourism, and gourmet food of Sumida Ward, was released on August 27, 2026. Sumida Ward and the Sumida Ward Tourism Association cooperated in its production, and it covers the history and traditional culture of Katsushika Hokusai and sumo, as well as symbols of the area such as Tokyo Skytree. The book also includes "Sumida Aruaru" (common experiences in Sumida) based on a survey of 468 residents, as well as an interview with actor Shunsuke Kazama, who is from the ward. On August 26, the day before its release, the editor-in-chief of Chikyu no Arukikata paid a courtesy visit to the ward office. The book is A5 variant size, 368 pages in total, priced at 2,420 yen, and is sold at stores such as Connect Sumida.
