September-Only Goshuin Available at Shitaya Shrine, Reception Through the Last Day of the Month
According to an announcement released on August 28, 2026, Shitaya Shrine is offering a special September-only goshuin (shrine stamp) from Tuesday, September 1 through Wednesday, September 30, the last day of the month. Reception hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:55 PM. Both hand-written goshuin and pre-written (kaki-oki) goshuin are available, but on days when the calligrapher is not present, only the pre-written version will be offered. During busy periods, numbered tickets may be distributed to those at the end of the line, and reception may close before the scheduled time. Only one goshuin book per person is allowed, and it is not possible to receive both the hand-written and pre-written versions. Please note that handwriting styles vary depending on the calligrapher, and requests for a specific calligrapher cannot be accommodated.
