39th Benten Festival to Be Held at Joyful Minowa on September 6

The annual "Benten Festival" will be held at the Joyful Minowa Shopping Street from 12:00 to 17:00 on Sunday, September 6. Announced on August 26, 2026. The event will take place across three venues: Zuiko Park, inside the Joyful Minowa Arcade, and Nakajima Benzaiten Shrine. A variety of stalls will line up, including goldfish scooping, kamishibai (traditional picture-story shows), balloon art, and handmade goods sales. The free "underwater coin drop" game and a popular experience corner where visitors dissolve their wishes in water are also on offer. Shoppers at participating stores between August 31 and September 5 will receive festival tickets that can be used at the event. The festival is held with the support and sponsorship of the Arakawa City Council of Social Welfare and others. As bicycle parking will be limited on the day, visitors are encouraged to walk or use public transportation.
