Ueno Zoo Announces Winning Entries for 'Animal Welfare Slogan' Contest

Ueno Zoo has announced the winning entries of the "Animal Welfare Slogan Contest," held as part of the events for Animal Welfare Week (September 20–26, 2026). According to the announcement made on August 26, 2026, a total of 14 works were selected from 197 submissions, including 5 excellent works and 9 honorable mentions. The excellent works will advance to the national central review conducted by the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The winning entries will be displayed near the coin lockers at the West Garden's Benten Gate from September 20 to October 20, 2026.
