On August 29, the "Yuzuzumi Lantern Walk 2026" will be held on Tower View Street in Taihei, Sumida Ward, featuring 600 lanterns painted by local children and adults. The area around Kinshi Elementary School will be closed to traffic, allowing visitors to enjoy a nighttime walk with lanterns in hand, along with designated photo spots. At the venue, you can enjoy food and drink stalls offering craft beer, shaved ice, and food truck cuisine, as well as hands-on activities like accessory making and super ball scooping. The event runs from 17:00 to 21:00, and admission is free. In case of severe weather, the event will be canceled, and the decision on whether to hold it will be announced on the night of the 28th.
